The D.C. - Maryland - Virginia Network

Whether you are inside or outside of the Beltway or you frequent the Inner Harbor, 4300 DU community members call this network home. This community hosts a variety of annual events and includes many visits from DU leadership and faculty. Happy hours are always happy and you never know who you might run into. The DU DC-Maryland-Virginia Network is eager to connect with you and is open to alumni, parents, current students, and friends of DU. Hello Pioneers! I am currently working as a Director of Engineering at Cisco and recently moved to Washington DC from Denver. Never leaving DU behind, I am always looking to network and/or mentor past, present and future Pios. Deeply committed to engineering excellence, my focus is helping to build quality software while growing future leaders. Always loving to connect, talk DU Hockey or Rugby, feel free to reach out!

Hello DC Network! I received my BS in Mathematics with a concentration in Finance from DU. I am a Consultant at SEI and have come to call the DC are home for the last three years. I am an active member of the Women in Technology organization here in DC. DU Day at the Ballpark-Washington Nationals

Sunday Aug 4. Meetup at 11:30AM. First Pitch at 1:35PM

It’s time for the annual summer tradition of DU Day at the Ballpark! We are delighted to be at Nationals Park as the Washington Nationals take on the Milwaukee Brewers. It is also Kids Shoe Charms Day. Come join your fellow alumni, parents, incoming and returning students, and friends for an afternoon of fun and reconnecting.

Your ticket gets you DU discounted admission for this highly sought after game. We are excited to use this opportunity to showcase the tremendous DC Network for the University of Denverallowing this community to better connect.

Meet Brent Thompson

Director of Regional Engagement

Brent helps guide strategy and execute engagement efforts of all alumni, families, parents and friends across the country and in select international networks as well as develops a programmatic portfolio for the regions in collaboration with Denver-based advancement team. Brent's goal is to create a culture of lifelong engagement and volunteerism among constituents in the regional markets and networks that builds our pipeline for campaign philanthropy and long-term engagement for the University's Global Network. 

Brent has served in a number of different roles throughout his 15-year career in higher education for the University of Oklahoma, University of Texas system and now with the University of Denver. He is also adjunct faculty for the Executive Education in Daniels. Brent has worked in several different capacities including employer relations, career development, accreditation, and alumni engagement. Brent is a proud University of Denver and University of Oklahoma graduate and his entire wardrobe is crimson!

Meet Craig Baldwin

Director of Development, East Coast

Craig joined DU in 2022 as the Regional Director of Development for the East Coast. Originally from Maryland, he works with DU community members throughout the eastern third of the country. Craig looks forward to engaging with DU alumni, parent, and friends of DU and learning more from their experiences.
