Professional Biography
Derigan Silver is an Associate Professor in the Department of Media, Film and Journalism Studies, an adjunct faculty member in the Sturm College of Law, and the faculty director of the Center for Innovation in the Liberal and Creative Arts (CILCA) at the University of Denver. He has published in peer review journals and law reviews on government secrecy and national security law, originalism, defamation, social architecture theory, access to the judiciary, commercial speech, and student expression. Silver received his doctoral degree in mass communication in 2009 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
