Transformation and Adaptation-Social Work in the Age of the Affordable Care Act
This session is designed as an interactive introduction to the Affordable Care Act and the opportunities for social workers. We will explore the goals of the act, the expectations of the public and the future of the profession.
Tracey Stewart is a principal at the newly launched Colorado Impact: Center for Economic Prosperity. She was the former Economic Security Program Manager at The Colorado Center on Law and Policy, where she expanded the economic security program to include the coordination and facilitation of the legislative interim committee Economic Opportunity Poverty Reduction Task Force and the Colorado Skills to Compete Coalition.
The Affordable Care Act has had, and will continue to have, a profound impact on the field of social work. No matter your role, understanding the law and the options available for many of your clients is critical.
Wine and h'or d'oeuvres will be provided.
