Mr. Katz became Chief Executive Officer of Vail Resorts in February 2006 and Chairman of the Board in March 2009. Prior to that, he served as the Company's Lead Director and has been intricately involved in guiding Vail Resorts' strategic direction and operations since 1992. Mr. Katz has also been a Senior Partner of New York based Apollo Management, private equity firm. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1988, and has lived in Boulder, Colorado, since 2002, with his wife and two sons. Mr. Katz is a director of the Vail Valley Foundation and LiveWell Colorado.

The Voices of Experience speaker series is a free event and open to the public.
